fic: of fairytales and stardust

But he did.

a/n: Going off of the idea that he was sucked into the Time War at the end of Christmas specials, a time ring is really the only way I, personally, find acceptable for him escaping Gallifrey's destruction and the War. Outside of that, in the realm of my general headcanon, I do not believe he survived. I think he used up what was left of his life force to try and kill Rassilon for what he had done. Though I do tend to be somewhat contradictory to my own theories over time, I might come around to the idea of him being generally "out there somewhere" in regards to the Eleventh Doctor and any other incarnations we may be privileged to see at a later date.
