The Doctor was busy. He was always busy since taking on one, newly given form, Master, one mouthy, ginger companion and her...fiance. Why did he ever think that this would be a good idea? He was getting old and possibly a bit forgetful if he thought he could manage this zoo that his TARDIS had turned into.

"So, you aren't going to do anything about this?" That was Rory. He was being quite annoying today or maybe he was simply a bit stretched to his limits.

The Doctor canted his head and pulled off his goggles from where he sat under the main console with a welding torch. He listened and gave a dramatic roll of his eyes at hearing the commotion between the Master and Amy from somewhere towards their respective bedrooms.

"It's just a bit of friendly banter," he began and shifted to go back to his work.

Something exploded. The Doctor ignored it. Rory interrupted his work again.

"You said he was dangerous! Do something about him!"

The demand as to just how the Doctor should have been managing his time was the last straw. Goggles pushed up into his hair, making it stand up oddly, he crawled back up to stare Rory down. "Do something about him because he's dangerous? Amy started this! I am not a babysitter or anyone's mother. You handle your fiance!"

The commotion down the hall had quieted down, both the Master and Amy listening intently, as both Rory and the Doctor's voices raised.

"I have nothing to handle. She's perfectly fine! Your boyfriend is the one causing all the trouble-"

The Doctor puffed out his chest, indignant. "He is not my boyfriend, you're absolutely mad!"

"No, you're in denial! You make...eyes at him!"

"I do not make eyes at him. He's just a very old friend er, enemy - He's an old school mate!"

Rory laughed uproariously and both man and Time Lord were completely oblivious to the fact that both the Master and Amy had come out of the corridor to sit with a package of jelly babies to watch the show. The Master ate one and offered the bag over to Amy, she floundered a moment as she wasn't looking away from either of her "boys" but finally managed to procure one. She ate it slowly as her fiance pounced on the Doctor's last statement.

"Oh, school mates! Is that what they're calling it now?"

Both of them were practically screaming in each others faces.

"This is better than I thought it would be," said Amy, her voice a whisper for only the Master to hear.

The Master nodded. "We must do this more often, Miss Pond. After all, it's the Doctor's fault that the both of us are so bored."

Amy ate another jelly baby, pretending a moment to herself that it was trying to escape and squealing for help. The Master chuckled and munched on his own.

"He does still owe me a vacation in Rio."

Oh the hilarity! The Doctor's brain hurts just thinking about it.

And also because Rory is whiny. ;)

Woe to the Doctor if Amy and the Master get along enough to turn their collective manipulations on him for their own entertainment.

He is. Amy should tell him to relax and eat a jelly baby. Just not the Master's. :)
