in the wreckage of an atom bomb jack/master

A/N: To anyone that missed the pairing mentioned in the title: Jack/Master, mkay? This means slash. It got in my head and I had to get it out. Mainly from Jack's POV. This isn't my usual cuppa. My opinion on anything Jack/Master? See title. It pretty much sums it up in my opinion. I suppose I should warn for possibly being dark? PWP might be a fair mention as well. I did try to find a plot. I think it ran away in fear. :| So there.

Neither of you can win this. It should be an impasse and yet you still try to mar the other's blank canvas. Nails raking. Teeth flashing. Blood.

The crimson flush is typical between you.

Jack hates himself for this. He tells himself that he protects people by doing this but it still makes his skin crawl with revulsion when the Master touches him. Even his submission, of sorts, is a battle and he's decided that he won't win it tonight.

The tackle takes the Master by surprise and the sick sound of the Time Lord's head smacking the floor sends a thrill through him. He hates that after so much time, that dark pit inside him is so easy to fall into but he pushes that emotion aside in favor of concentrating on the here and now. Jack takes advantage of his dazed stupor and fists his hand in the Master's short hair, eliciting a hiss.

Jack gives a laugh and it's a rough sound, full of all the things he told himself he'd never be again. Part of him wants to cry at how utterly damaged this man has left him if he falls back into it so easily. He decides to take it out on him by crushing their lips together, nipping, sucking and biting until he can taste blood.

He won't let him win tonight but in the Master's mind he already has by reducing him to this. The Master can't kill Jack permanently because of the fact of what he is and so he makes him hurt because the Doctor shouldn't care about this impossible thing more than he does his fellow Time Lord. Jack can't kill the Master because he can't bear the idea of hurting the Doctor. They are both tied to the other Time Lord, the one that always runs away, but they refuse to think for a moment that it binds them together.

Jack releases his hold on the Master's hair in favor of ripping open his expensive jacket. It earns him a glare as the buttons go flying and he's sure he'll end up paying for it later; right now it's worth it. The Master tries to pull Jack's clothes away but he grabs his wrists, pinning them in a grip hard enough to bruise.

"No." Jack hisses, eyes flashing and the Master only smirks. He can allow him his illusion of control for the moment.

He isn't gentle as he pulls the clothing off of the Master. He makes it a point to tear and shred them as he strips him bare but he can never strip him down like the Master did to him. The physical scars might be gone but the mental ones go far too deep. The Master makes use of his momentary distraction and rips open Jack's shirt, fingers running deceptively gently over the planes of his skin; over old wounds only they can see.

"Well? Get on with it." he hisses out.

"You aren't going to like this." he growls, trying to regain some semblance of control over the situation as he makes short work of his own clothing.

The Master sneers. "Promises, promises." Because he's already thoroughly enjoying his victory. He'll always win because Jack will always be this damaged when it comes to him.

It takes all the control the Master has not to hiss at the burn when he feels Jack press into him. He didn't expect Jack to take any care in preparing either of them but he won't give him the satisfaction of showing his discomfort. Being a Time Lord and all, he has a lot of control over his body and he makes sure that Jack is the only one of them getting off on this. Jack pins his wrists again, his pace jarring him and he can feel the cold floor under his skin and feel the burn of the friction.

Jack's mouth covers his own again, a show of dominance and the Master doesn't give him anything. He doesn't fight back, just watches him as if he's some sort of pet experiment, taking satisfaction in knowing how it infuriates the little human. Jack isn't focusing on the Master at all, even as each thrust brings him closer to his own release. He wants a reaction out of him but the Master just stares in that stoic, calculating way, unblinking.

When it's finally over, Jack pulls away roughly, feeling sick. He sees bruises already starting to blossom on the Time Lord's pale skin. The Master brushes fingers over them in mild fascination, they won't last too long. "Well at least one of us had fun." he comments as he sits up, pulling his shredded clothing over to him. He doesn't give Jack the pleasure of a wince or any display of discomfort even though he is going to be feeling this for a while.

"Just go." Jack bites out, resisting the urge to find some way of covering himself.

The Master laughs as he dresses. "Does thinking you've won make you feel better?"

"I said, go." he grits out.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist, darling." he sneers, rolling his eyes. "I need a shower anyways."

Once Jack is sure the Master has gone, he buries his face in his hands and cries.

I really love this. I love the atmosphere it creates. The fact that it's very much Not Nice, and it's not attempting to make it nice. It's bitter and twisted and shows that they both very much have problems that neither of them are addressing as they ought to.

It's almost uncomfortable to read, but I think something like this should be.

Brilliant work.

Oh, vicious. I love it! It's the sort of thing that's painful to read, but awesome at the same time.

Great work!
